So the first thing ive done with my is250 i bought a month ago was replace the parking lights with led lights which was about a week ago. Everything was fine until i realized a little condensation built up in the headlights. I noticed the harness connections in the back werent snapped in perfectly so i put those on right and the condensation problem has pretty much gone away but now when i turn the headlights on they wont work.
The led parking lights still work though. What could the problem be? did water get into my headlights and ruin it? or am i just paranoid and dont even realize that the headlights only turn on in the night? i checked the fuse box too and everything seems to be fine... i feel like a noob asking the question but i just got the car and I've been reading the forums here for the last month so i figured id come here first.
if u left the **** on auto it will only turn on when it gets dark. make sure u have it on the =D something similiar to that. also did you install any aftermarket hids? if not i suggest takin it back to the dealer since its only a month old
I doubt the condensation would ruin both bulbs simultaneously. Are your harness connections secure?
the funny thing is when i left work the other day it was about 10pm and my brother was watching me pull out and said that one of my headlights was out so i switched them off and then back on and then they both worked. now neither work but i havent tried turning them on in the dark again yet if that makes any difference
stock halogens im pretty sure. I bought the car used and i dont think the previous owner replaced anything because everything else on the car was stock. I still have 20000 miles until the warranty is up but will the dealer give me a problem about replacing the stock halogens if i say i replaced the parking lights myself?
are you headlight yellowish when they are on or lean more towards white when they are on?
well the parking lights are the only lights that are working and i put the stock parking lights back in and they are yellow obviously but the night time headlights dont work still. i called the dealer..
