Default Headlights with auto-sense wipers?

How can I get the headlights to turn on when the auto-sense wipers determine it is raining? The law in this state as well as common sense safe driving require the headlights to be on when using the wipers. When I mentioned this to the service manager at the dealership I got agreement it would be a good idea but nothing else. Anybody know how to get the headlights to turn on when the wipers detect rain?

I can't answer your question, but don't the DRL's qualify as lights on when it's raining?

That feature is not available on the RX. You still have to manually turn on the headlights unless it's cloudy enough for them to turn on automatically. It happened to me this morning until about two miles from work. I had to manually switch them on. It's law here too - wipers on, lights on. DRLs would help but it's better to turn on the headlights per the law so the tail lights also come on. Better to be safe than sorry.

Wipers on and headlights on are common sense and the law here too. Headlights on is mainly for others to see you when raining.
