Default LPS Setting

All,

I'm anxiously awaiting my car ... just been doing a lot of research on this forum, and in the FAQs ... but I had a question:

If you have your LPS set to "Pressing the unlock button one time will unlock all doors. (Rear included)"

Does this mean that when you walk up to the car, with the key FOB in your pocket, all doors will open when you touch the door handle, or only if you hit 'unlock' on the FOB?

I hope this isn't a stupid question ... I just don't know.

Thanks,
Alex

All the doors unlock when you put your hand inside the handle. I have mine set this way. There are other options as well. See the LPS info in the FAQ. I compiled a complete guide to all the LPS.

Thanks ... I'll review the FAQ you're mentioning more closely.

I believe there are 2 different settings for this. You can unlock all doors when opening the driver's door handle, AND/OR you can unlock all doors when pressing once on the remote. The default it to open just the driver's door for both procedures.

You don't need to make an LPS change to get all the doors to unlock when you touch the drivers door handle. You can change that setting yourself by simultaneously pressing a few buttons on the remote. Instructions are in the owners manual.

pressing the Lock/Unlock buttons in the same time for a little while will make all the doors open when you reach the door handle(you'll see the 4 door's opened on the little screen) .. did it and works great.

havent tried it yet...sounds pretty easy to change. i kind of like it so that the one door opens when i touch the handle and if i have a passenger i just use the remote and push it twice...guess i have to try it the other way as i hate reaching for the key, funny how you get used to not grabbing for it.
