Default Mirror tilt in reverse

I finally noticed today, after having the GX for 6 months that the mirrors tilt downward in reverse. Cool feature. I never saw it before, because I notice that this feature only seems to work when you have the mirror adjustment switch either on the left or right mirror, but not in the center, (where I usually keep it).

Blah blah blah - maybe it's time to read that thing called a, "manual".

btw - took my car in to get the recall crap done and they promised the $1000 credit, (which I'm gonna use for my 15k and 30k services). Since I had to come back twice, they gave me a free tank of gas.

Default Mirror tilt

There are a couple of features that the newer models have that I would like to have on my 00GS, the tilt down mirrors for one, and the autolocking doors.

No hurry on the card. I only have 8k miles now and have a 2nd car also to drive.

BTW - anyone get their oil changed anywhere other than Lexus? If so, where? I'm worried that oil changes at some places will be a pain since it is a brand new model style.

Have the dealership "C-best" or customize your 00 GS's door locks. It has the function, it's just not activated. All the cars come with a default setting on many items, yours is still the default. Why thats the default setting, who knows.

Kash,

Is it true that you should get free oil changes until 15k? They only promised me a free full tank of gas and a $1k card for lexus services or parts,( which i never got )

Any place that has changed the oil on a Land Cruiser/LX 470, Tundra or 03 V8 4Runner can handle changing the GX's oil
