Change Default Home Screen at Startup?

I just picked up a 2008 GX and have a question about the touchscreen. While they thankfully got rid of the annoying "I Agree" screen, the touchscreen ALWAYS goes directly to the map/nav screen at startup. My wife used to have a 2006 and I'm positive that (after hitting the stupid "I Agree" screen) the touchscreen would default to the Audio screen. She now has a 2015 GX and it too was going to the Nav screen but I was easily able to change the home/default screen on that one.

Is there any way to have the Audio screen come up when starting the vehicle instead of the map/nav screen? It's annoying me. I was hoping I could change it with a Techstream but had no luck doing that.

Thanks!!

(I searched but could find a direct answer)

In the settings of setup you can tell the navigation to hold the screen function you have or return to screen function map.

In other words is if you press audio button the screen will go to audio screen and stay there or if you want it will return to previous screen.
I believe the default screen is always going to be the map screen. I have mine set up so what ever button I press the screen stays there until I press another buitton

I literally just got the GX on Tuesday and it just never has the "I Agree" screen. I thought perhaps Lexus got rid of it in the 2008-09 models. Perhaps others can chime in if this is correct or the previous owner somehow had the "I Agree" thing removed.

I saw that option and mine does stay on whatever screen I push. I am just annoyed that every time I start the vehicle, it defaults to the stupid map screen. I wonder if Lexus can somehow change this. To me, it's the equivalent of having the damn "I Agree" screen since I have to hit the Audio button EVERY time I start the car to get the map screen to go away.

I have an '08 and do not have the "I agree" button.

Bought an '07 GX earlier this year. When I bought it I had to hit the 'I agree' button. Updated the nav map (eBay, $35) to the latest available and it includes a software update that removes it. Much better & worth the $ just to remove that annoyance.

I can double check this later when I get back in town but IIRC it now starts up on the last screen I left it on. For example my daughter finds the whole screen annoying so when I start it after she's used it then the screen stays black.

I see those on ebay for $35. Did you have any issues like many who posted feedback on the seller did?

I had zero issues myself. It was an OEM disk - or a perfect fake - and it loaded w/o any issues at all.
