on the split nav screen where you can see 2 map screens at the same time - when i touch the right screen i can edit the right screen but i cant deselect the box that says show poi icons.

i want to get rid of the icones on the right screen, since i would like to keeop this at say 4 mile zoom the other one at 700 feet. of course the right screen at 4 miles all i see is icons cant hardly see the roads.

any ideas?

Using "voice commands" say "Hide all icons". Bang, they are gone.

 

If you touch the right hand map, the edit screen will appear. On that screen one of the options is display icons. If you de-select this feature (by touching the button...turning off the yellow highlight) the icons will no longer be shown on the right hand map.

thats the confusing part.
i said hide all icons and it confirmed all were hidden but they are still on the right hand screen.
the right hand screen when i touch it i do have an options that says display POI icons - but it is grayed out, i cant select it and toggle the yellow mark off.

 

Are the icons that you are seeing on the right hand map white? ie. trees in parks, gift box in shopping malls, etc. If so they are part of the maps graphics and cannot be removed.
