yes, engine turns off when a door is opened. All Toyota/Lexus’ have this unfortunate feature.

I've just recently learned, and confirmed with a couple installers that compustar has updated it's software to allow takeover.
  • This means the engine won't shut off when a door is opened.
  • The engine will remain running. To get it out of park, you'll have to hold the brake pedal down for a few seconds to allow the ecu to acknowledge that the key fob is in the vehicle. Once that's complete, you can shift gear out of park.
  • If you don't have the key fob in the vehicle [or if you don't allow takeover (didn't hold the brake pedal down before shifting)], then the engine will turn off.
Compustar T13 + drone, and IGLA is the best aftermarket security and theft protection that you can get.

I just upgraded to this exact setup. Can confirm car does not shut off if you hold down the brake for about 5 seconds after remote start.

Do you carry both fobs (compustar T13, and Lexus), or did you install the compustar keylocker?

I just got the compustar T13 and drone installed yesterday.

can you assist me with a couple of my questions/issues:
  • when I turn off the vehicle, my seat retracts and steering wheel retracts to allow comfort/easy access to get out of the car.
After I remote start it, and hop back in the car, and hit the brake for the ecu to detect the key, it does not put my seat/steering wheel back where it belongs. I have to press the seat setting. Does yours do this too? I’ll talk to my installer on Monday to see if he needs to enable a feature or something for the seat settings to come back at ignition.
  • The GSF passive unlocking is still enabled (when you touch any door handle, the doors unlock). This is an issue as compustar is still armed so then the alarm will go off. How do I disable the passive unlocking? I didn’t see this option in the door unlock settings from the Lexus multimedia screen.

-yes, my car is the same. have to press the memory setting for seat and steering wheel to go back

-I use proximity unlocking feature with the alarm system, so I don't use the passing unlocking so not familiar with this issue.

@XSV thanks for the info. Have you had any battery issues? I think the dronemobile is killing my battery.

no battery issues. i set it to record when the alarm is triggered only when parked since I have a trail cam installed that alerts me when the motion detection is triggered.

Dang it you jinxed me! Had a low battery this past Sunday. I WFH so I don't drive much and usually drive it on the weekends. Well I didn't drive it Saturday which caused it to go low. Fun fact, the trunk won't open if you have a low battery. Guess where my jumper pack was. Good thing I had a second jumper pack in the closet. Jumped the car and let it run for 20 mins and it's fine now.

Ahh, glad it's fine now. I upgraded my battery to an X2 Power AGM battery. It holds a charge much longer now than a standard lead acid. X2Power batteries are essentially the same as Odyssey Extreme (both made by EnerSys), so I went with it because it was our group size.

Does anyone know how to unlock all doors when pressing the unlock button once?
