Default Remote Start Options

Hello,
Anyone know of any aftermarket remote starts for our car? Lexus decided to end our 3g coverage right into winter so that's nice.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks,

I used 12 v solutions for my GS F, easy install, no need to splice wires.
Hit lock button 3 times to remote start the car, no issues.
( 2016-2018 Lexus GS350 Plug & Play Remote Start Kit (Push Button Start) × 1
Standard Kit (x3 lock on OEM FOB)
$289.99)

the website states it only works on a GS350 and when I contacted them they said the same thing. Does it really work on the GSF?

I have a 2020 RCF and emailed them because their site stated it only worked up to 2019's. They were unsure if it would work. Nevertheless, I bought one and installed it. It was the EXACT same Directed DB3 module that I bought from them for my wife's 2018 NX. Installed it, programmed it and it works fine for remote starting. They still haven't updated their site to reflect that it will work on ALL RCF models..

I didn't want to spend another $300 for a remote start for my ct200h. So, I simply bought a Directed db3 module ($70), bought a t-harness ($20) then tapped three wires from the db3 wiring harness to the T-harness. Everything is plug and play. Boom. remote start on the CT.

I'd say if you don't want to "test" it out and drop $300 for their kit, do what I did with my CT. Worst case you are out $100 and then can sell it back to someone for exactly what you paid.

I can't imagine that it wouldn't work on a GSF... makes no sense why it wouldn't. It's the same module. Almost any remote start kit out there is using a Directed DB3 module. The car is push start, and it's the same t-harness throughout most lexus models. You are paying for the convenience of having someone else solder 3 wires to a t-harness and wrapping it for you. When you realize how easy it is to do, it a shame that places are charging a 200-300% markup on such a cheap item...

Was the install difficult? Did you get the app module with it?

Are there just the 2 screws to remove the lower half of the steering column cover like in the IS video YouTube?

They told me the same thing. I went ahead and gave it a shot. Can confirm it works. Easy install. I got the remote app as well. All works flawlessly. If you look at the temp in the pic, you can see why I got it lol. Hope this helps

nice! You’re one of the first that I’ve seen that got the app on the GSF as well. Haven’t been wanting to pull the trigger because nobody could confirm the app would work for the GSF as well. Anything special have to be done during install??

Nothing special to do. Just follow the included activation instructions and make sure you’re outside and have a decent cell signal. They use t mobile towers so it shouldn’t be an issue.

Purchased this kit, installed it tonight, but car won't start. It cranks over for a few seconds, stops, and starts over again for more two cycles. Car will start normally with push button, but I do notice there is a slightly longer crank time to start. Anyone had this problem?

Called 12volt today, the rep said that there's no record of the device being compatible with the GS F and that it has zero compatibility. After talking to him, he gave me some possible solutions. The one that worked was pulling out the DCM fuse (located in the trunk) before programing the module, then plug the fuse back in and and everything worked. Apparently it's a known issue but it the video wasn't in the trouble shooting link.
