I called my dealer today to schedule an appr to add remote start to the '12 es350 I bought in mid-May. Given how hot the weather will be this summer where I live and that my work parking is uncovered and relatively shade-less, I felt dumb not having gotten remote start on this car to begin with. I called prepared to pay nearly whatever price they might quote me. I was surprised when they told me it wasn't available from Lexus for my car. I was told that I could get remote start aftermarket, but that there likely would be "issues" in how some features of the car might be incompatible with it installed
Bummer, I was really looking forward to coming out of my office to a cooled-off (or warmed in the winter) car. This is now the first car I've owned in the last 9 years w/out remote start. My asst mockingly laughed at my "sadness", telling me to just buy a sun-shade, ha.
