Is it just me or my car that it seems like the heat and cooling effects are very subtle? In both my Corvettes, my CTS and my Explorer the heated and cooled seats are very noticeable even on low. I can barely notice them on the GS F. Dealer said it was working fine, but it is almost like it is a non existent feature.

The HEATED seats......are NOT noticeable AT ALL.....they SUCK
my 2007 GS Heated Seats were better than this.....
Felt the same way also. However, last time I've tried with AC on, seat were very cool. And if you increase the temp, heated seat will do the job. Hope this can help! On the IS F, heated seat would work fine, regardless of the temp...
The heated seats in my GS350 get warm and then back off pretty quickly. in my tacoma they will fry your behind. I'm not sure what type of logic lexus programs in but they are definitely controlling it to where they think you would like it.
Are GSF seats cooled or ventilated? if they are only ventilated, make sure you have the cooling on floor and the rear cooling enabled, as it pulls air from under the seat.
it's the seat material; the nulux or whatever the F it's called is very thick and the heat cannot penetrate it very well compared to faux leather or real leather. The ventilated part suffers from a poor design in the material perforation.

I believe I read the seats are just ventilated in the cool mode. Regardless, pretty weak as everyone is noticing but not a showstopper in my opinion.

For the price of the car it should be a show stopper. This is a high end luxury car. These features are billed and paid for and they should work. If not I would expect them to make it work properly. Other car manufactures make the heated and vented seats with all kinds of materials and they get hot or cool. I noticed in the ES350 they lent me that seats were weak as well. Seems like it might be a Lexus problem. Some of us have bad backs and the heated and cooled seats make the long drives gentler for us.

In the GS the ventilated seats just blow regular air like a fan, if the seat is warm/hot that air is going to be a little warm, in the LS460 the cooled seats are blowing air conditioned/cold air. Not sure why they did not do cold air for the GS also since the LS has it.
My GSF heated and cooled seats are CRAP. Barely works. My Raptor seats you can fry eggs on them then freeze them. My BMWs had much better seat heating as well. One thing American brands understand so much better. (and cupholders).
