Problem: Passenger Side Mirror tilt (side to side) in reverse
Has anyone had a side mirror that moves side to side instead of down while in reverse? The driver side works fine. However, the passenger side tilts all the way to the left so I can look at myself while trying to back up.....not very helpful. Any ideas? Couldn't fine anything in the manual under the mirrors section or in troubleshooting.

The side mirrors are set up to move to wherever you set them when the car is in reverse. By default they tilt down, but in your case it would seem like someone set it to tilt outward before you took delivery. All you need to do to correct it is simply put the car in reverse and adjust the mirror to where you want it to be and it should go the that position every time you put it in reverse.

mine is the reverse issue. My passenger mirror tilts down, but my driver side goes side to side. I will have to try the positioning of the mirror while it's in reverse to see if that fixes it.

Take it in. Mine had issues too. Feel free to mutter under your breath that "that's what I thought the PDI was for"

Like LexTacoma stated: Make sure either "L" or "R" is selected to enable the "Linked Mirror" function, then place the vehicle in Reverse. Then select "R" and adjust the mirror down to the position you would like it to tilt to. Place the vehicle back in park and turn off. Your new tilt-down position should be remembered. Keep in mind that the new tilt-down position is linked to the normal position; meaning that if you change the normal position your tilt-down position will change too. BTW, it's on page 143 of owner's manual.
