I can't seem to find any threads regarding this, so.... I recently got the factory remote start installed on 2013 GS350, and the tech gave me the manual. So the manual says I can set AC/Heater settings for when the car is remotely started. Example, I can set it to always be on max fan speed when I use the remote start regardless of what the setting was when I turned off the car last. The stupid manual doesn't say how to access these settings. I just says it's possible to have it set. It says there's a bunch of other settings in the car can be changed when I use the remote start, but it doesn't say how or where to access this so called "settings menu." I could also have the Heated/Cooled seats turn on with the remote start and all of that jazz. I noticed a lot of people on here went with the aftermarket remote start, so that doesn't help me too much. If anyone has a PDF or can point me in the right direction that would be helpful
The genuine Lexus item is called Lexus Remote Start (RES) and fits 2010 - 2015 Lexi before the App based
system came out. Looked up and read the TIS installation pages for RES and it has no user settings listed.
My experience with this is that you just leave the HVAC in Auto and it just does what you last selected.
The 2013 GS did not have the Auto Heated/Cooled seats, that started in 2014 along with the Rear Cross Traffic Alert
enhancement to the Blind Spot Monitor. Unlike the Heated/Cooled "roller" switches on some Lexus models, the GS
has a series of button presses High/Med/Low that won't remember a setting.
f the HVAC is turned off and the ambient temperature is below (around) 35 degrees it will assume you want heat and
if above (about) 88 degrees it will begin air conditioning.

Per my 2013 owners manual, would the heated seat work with the remote start if the car was left in ECO mode?
The car remembers Eco mode, but not the sport modes.
The question is, does the occupancy sensor have to be set for the heater to work - perhaps it assumes the driver is always there.
