I am hearing impaired and I was wondering about the bluetooth quality among the different year gs350?
Before I test drive a few, is there a clear difference between a 2013 or 2015 or 2016 new body style
what about an older model like 2008 gen3
I thought i would add I have a 2013 hybrid camry now and it is terrible quality. My 2017 chevy diesel is amazing the clarity I hear and how well they can hear me, while driving on the freeway is awesome
I would say the bluetooth on my 2015 gs350 (M/L) sounds amazing. However, the quality is hindered by the source, in my opinion. All the Android devices (including the S8) I've had either sounded like crap or was filled with distortion. All my Apple devices (including my IphoneX) sound extremely crisp as if it were through AUX.
I have a ‘13 GS350. I daily it and no one has ever complained that they couldn’t hear me speaking. I think the Lexus Bluetooth wireless connection isn’t too shabby. I’m a iPhone SE user.
I have a 2016 GS and a Samsung Galaxy Note phone. My bluetooth is good (nobody has ever complained) but could be better. When driving in city streets, I use a volume of around 30. However, in the highway driving between 65-80 mph, I have to turn the volume up to at least 50 and sometimes to MAX (60). I am running on Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ 225/50R17 tires and I do not have double pane windows. I have never used an iPhone, so cannot tell if it is a problem of my car's bluetooth or Samsung phone.
I have a 2015 F sport and I use my note 8 on the BT all the time, I have no problems with it as far as audio goes. It's not much different or better/worse than the 2010 Camry I had with that system, although the Lexus GS system is less flakey and less painful to manage.
One problem I still have is I have my work iphone set up as an audio player, and despite my telling it otherwise, sometimes it still will hijack my cars phone BT speakerphone option in the system when it starts up and disconnect the Note 8... no effin idea why it does it, but easily fixed in the menu. It will not do it for 2 weeks then randomly, bam, no workie.
This topic has been discussed before with folks owning 2013's, complaining of the crappy bluetooth hands free voice quality. I'd expect the 2014's and newer to be much improved.
