Blackberry Tour Compatibility Problems with GS350
Hi -
I'm having compatibility issues with my new Blackberry Tour and 2007 GS350 bluetooth connection. When I originally paired the device, it worked fine except that people on the other end complained that they couldn't hear me during calls. I then deleted the pairing, then re-paired. Now, when I turn on the car and the bluetooth connection initiates, the screen goes into a call even though I never dialed a number from the phone. It also doesn't automatically convert to bluetooth when someone calls me while driving. I've messed with the autoconnect, deleted all pairing data, reconnected, etc. and nothing seems to work.
Does anyone have experience with this, or any advice? (Besides going back to my Blackberry 8703...)? Thanks in advance.

I have the Tour and the phone works excellent with the car. Go to your phone setting and then go to (select phone) and delete all of them. Pair your phone again and put in the pass code then tell your blackberry to automatically connect to the car everytime you get in. It should work. No need to go back to the curve. If that does not work, you should have that phone swapped out for another one since it could be faulty. If you had the phone less than 30 days, it should be no problem. If it is greater than 30 days I would buy the insurance plan that is 6 dollars a month that covers anything from software issue to damage buttons to lost phone and they will give you another one free.
I also have a Tour and have had some of the problems you are having. I haven't had any of the connection problems though. The phone always connects without any problem. As far as the bluetooth volume I found a solution that seems to work after hours reading blackberry forums. First you need to get into the Service menu. Do this by going to Display and then pressing in the upper left hand corner followed by the lower left hand corner and repeat until the service menu screen appears. In the upper right corner of the service menu you will see a menu button. Press the menu button and it will take you to a screen that has a few options. One of them is Bluetooth. Press the Bluetooth option and raise the outgoing call volume to 4 or 5. doing that seemed to solve the problem for me. I cant remember if the car needs to be in the ACC position or started. Here is a link that shows how to get into the service menu.
