Default auto lock not working

The other day I was running around and forgot to push the button on the handle to lock my car. When I went back out for a drive. I grabbed the handle and it didn't beep/unlock. I thought weird..long story short I figured out my car wasn't auto locking. I looked at the settings in the nav and it says that it should auto lock after 60 seconds. I've tried changing the settings to different times but to no luck. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Josh

It's not just you. My car doesn't aotolock either. I found out when I opened the door without my keys the next morning. I went and check the settings and verified that it was set to autolock.

The software is quirky. My seat settings sometimes forgets ... Hopefully they take care of the bugs/ defect.

I believe it's a "relock" rather than auto lock feature and is only applied when you unlock the doors but don't open them. It'll relock after 60 secs. I haven't encountered any car that has an auto lock feature actually. It would be nice but i feel lawsuits would abound.

That is correct. Only relock, not auto lock. Maybe they should rename it to prevent confusion...

On the personalization sheet it is "Auto Relock Timer"

My car has this feature and it does actually work... It's a PITA when I'm washing the car and the door auto locks and the mirrors fold in, it happens every time I'm about to wash the mirrors. Although I never walk away from the car without pressing the button. On the handle...

Syd, if your key is in the car you'll just get the long tone saying the car can not be locked.

yes i will get the tone, even if i try to lock it by pushing the button it will give me a series of tones but the car will not lock. i think you have a certain amount of time before the key gets locked in the car... don't quote me on that last statement.
