Hey guys, ive recently noticed that when I accelerate really hard on my vehicle it will completely stall out at 40mph. Once i let off the gas and begin accelerating again all is good. However the car will not enable me to just step on when without stalling out. Anybody else
ever experience this?

 

Had a similar one that ended up being a dirty throttle body.

MAF sensor, Fuel Pressure(doubtfull), or dirt in the throttle body cause bad response to some of the sensors there

experienced in my 240. MAF sensor shorted out the first time. and the second time I broke a little piece not thinking it did anything but did lol

I could be wrong since its a Lexus but I always check the MAF and throttle body first since its happened to me before.

 

What car and how many miles are on it

 

my is300 did this, ended up being a dirty maf sensor. Cleaned it out and reset the ecu and it was normal again.

You need a proper scanner otherwise you're just making guesses, even with a proper scanner it's a lot of guessing. You need to monitor your fuel trims to see if something goes noticeably out of whack at certain engine loads.

 

Can you explain what kind of stall? I might have the same.

 

Sounds like MAFS to me. Clean it up and give it another shot.

 

ok, so i cleaned my throttle body about 10k ago. And I did that pretty thoroughly. I just cleaned my maf sensor today, but still have the same issue. I havent reset the ecu yet, but will give it a shot and report back. I hooked it up
to a reader and looked a fuel trim etc and everything looked good.

 

Ended up being a dirty maf... stupid oiled k&n. Cleaned it up and we are now good to go. Thanks to those who
helped!
