yup if your not worried about it, by all means save the money
yes that was the good thing about the 06's is you can do the finger dance to override your navi . glad to hear it all worked out!
Man those buttons on the BS are really ugly...so over all, from what I see, the PS kit is well worth the money for someone who is not inclined to the know how required for the BS....guess I'll go with the PS. Very informative.
The Beat Sonic install takes less than a half hour, and was plug and play. I am not certain about the PS. The BS buttons are ugly, but I cannot see spending extra money for something I am going to hide anyway. I had it installed for a year and a half and it worked flawlessly. The sales reps were very accessible and friendly when I needed help locating where the GPS override plugged in. There was no modification necessary to the BS kit. I do not know why that was listed in the review. The link I am listing shows the install process; there is no lengthening necessary now given the redesign. Cutting the wires and jumping the ground is always an option as well. I think everyone that has done that has been successful. It was just not worth the risk for me.
Just my .02.
i almost bought one of the kits ,but it was so simple to snip the wires and ground it 5mins ,cost me nothing ,but if you want the kit go for it
ill post a video of my setup, blue tooth works flawlessly, dvd movies works on the fly, navigation works with no buttons needed
