Folding Mirrors

Hey CL Members i was just curious about Auto folding Mirrors and i know they are on the LS when you click unlock the Mirrors open and when you lock they close i have also seen them on the JDM Corolla's or at least i had them on my Corolla Back home. Well im trying to look for the auto folding feature for my car but i don't seem to find it anywhere.

I believe the dealer can do it with a setting they can adjust with their scanners. I maybe mistaken!

This has to be done manually, there's no other ways around it. Well, from what I've seached before. I could be wrong.

no they will not auto fold. also be careful because the gears inside the mirrors suck. it will eventually break

Nope can't be done by dealer, they don't auto-fold. Only way is to re-wire them was gonna try this and thats what I was told. Like IXI187IXI said be careful as the gears are easily broken since they are plastic.

It can't be done. I have looked high and low in techstream and there is no possible way I have found to enable this. There is a company that makes some kind of module you can install (I don't know where it plugs into or how it works) they have a video here: Auto Folding Mirrors IS250 but I don't speak Thai (I think that's the language on their website) if anyone speaks Thai and can navigate their site, could you let us know

Everyone thank you for your responses by looking at it i dont think it would be possible and also when i park anywhere i close my mirrors and then open it when i am ready to leave so idk if thats a good thing to do or not and i was just wondering about the Auto Folding mirrors because i think it is a good feature to have since we wouldn't have to keep pressing the open close button on the flip down.

I was just thinking about this today....can't believe the GS doesn't do this automatically.

My LX570 does it and its great. Someone needs to find a solution.
