Default Auto Folding Mirrors Optional?

I just checked the lexus.com site and read that auto folding mirrors are optional in the US spec page. Am i missing something?

It's a mistake on their website. Folding mirrors don't exist on US spec models. Perhaps they will be optional in 2008.

I wish someone would make after market mirrors period.... The only thing that really bugs me when I look at it as different angles. Just seems too big at times.

I wish the IS's mirrors folded. When I park in the garage I have to manually fold my driver side mirror because its a tight fit in there.

I agree 100%. Its huge. I would jump on smaller aftermarket for our cars in a heart beat. It would make the car to have sportier, smoother lines, imo, with smaller mirrors.

I believe in Japan they do. I wouldn't mind having that option. It's been retrofitted on to other cars. I wonder how hard/expensive it would be to do it to our mirrors?

Yea the IS really should have had them! The mirrors are so big that Lexus should have assumed people would need to fold them up to get into some places. Probably another one of their lame safety restrictions.

I doubt it has anything to do with safety. It's not necessary in the US.
