Default maintenance light on?

Ok so my guage cluster says that my "oil maintenance required" and the red triangle with the ! is on too. I had my oil changed 1300 miles ago and everything on my info screen is reset and good to go. So what does this light and message mean?

Please help me as I have no clue what is going on here.

Your owners manual will tell you how to reset the mesage. If you had the service done at a dealer, they should have done this.

Was it reset by the dealership or did you perform the oil chage yourself.

It was done at a shop and only the info on the message center was reset. How do you reset the cluster?

The reset procedure is in your owners manual. It involves using the reset function switch in the left dash panel and the start/stop engine button. Look under maintenance.

First & foremost, when did this message appear?
Have you checked the oil level on the dipstick since it appeared?
If not, why not? Get it done immediately!
If that's fine, then get it read for any fault codes.
If the oil is low, I'd have it back to where it was done, and get them to check the oil filter has been correctly fitted & torqued.
I would also query that the Technician filled it to the upper level on the dipstick.

First thing is I have not driven it since the light came on. Also I will check the oil level today. I just figured it wasn't reset properly.

I checked the oil level and its fine. There is nothing leaking from under the car. I'm just gonna reset the light.
