Hey which throttle cleaner do you all use and by chance do you know which ones Lexus uses, thanks in advance.

it youre just cleaning the throttle body i just used the CRC found at autozone, worked flawlessly

Any tb cleaner should do. It's the cleaning process thats more important IMO.

i'm planning on cleaning my throttle body sometime soon too after seeing another member's DIY posted on this forum. i've never done it before so is there anything i should be careful of when i do this?

I sometimes wonder how you're supposed to clean the TB on a car with a digitally controlled TB. You can't just push it open right - somebody needs to be in the car with the ignition on (engine off I assume works) pressing the pedal? If you just push on it, you get it all out of calibration?

I also recall reading at some point that you have to be really careful around the point where the valve connects to the throttle body and not spray anything on that part and mess up the motor.

I have yet to pull my whole intake off to look at my throttle body but something tells me it is probably perfectly clean even though it has over 60,000 miles on it.

you can push the throttle plate open manually. check my DIY, just dont spray excessive amount in.
