Default Some 3rd gen Carnage

This car came to our dealer the other week. The owner said he slid going down a driveway and into a curb..expensive repair.

It was not cheap..the rack itself is close to $2k. I think in parts alone he was close to $4k..but imo they replaced more than I would if it were my car

Ouch! Just visually from that photo, it just looks like the lower control arm that broke. Sway bar bent perhaps? The rack looks OK but wouldn't doubt if it was bad. Yikes.

That's what insurance is for. Must've been a pretty steep drive way to hit the curb that hard.

no kidding.... and not necessarily if its up in Illinois its easily done. i had a es300 about 9 years ago and it snowed down here one year. was pulling up into a driveway that was all iced over, couldn't go up anymore and couldn't stop from sliding back down....my car slid into some old ladies Buick (didn't really do anything to her car a buffer wouldn't have fixed since i aimed it out of the way as best as possible) but she still dinged my insurance heavily and i broke a control arm. my insurance fixed it also

so if it was icy like i expect it was this easily could have happened and he should just file it on the insurance and call it a day
