I have the vaistech to watch video, but I have to apply the parking brake for the video to work. Do I have to buy the navigation bypass so I can can bypass the parking brake thing to watch video while the car is in motion.
U might be able to simply ground the parking brake cable since u only need to bypass the audio system, not the nav system.
Not sure, just a thought, worked that way on my Tahoe.

On the GS this would cause the parking brake light to be on at all times I believe.

no, i don't think it will. you cut the parking brake wire to the system and ground the side going into the system, that will enable video when the car is moving and i don't think it will put up a light on the dash
There is a DIY on this. Just cut the speed wire and ground the parking brake wire. No lights will come on. The only signal you're affecting is the signal to the radio. In fact, you're grounding the wire from the radio side. A lot of people on this forum have done this including myself.
The light shouldn't be affected by cutting the input to the stereo. Not sure but doubt that's the same wire for the stereo as the dash indicator light.

as stated, the light on the dash is from the other end of wire, cutting and grounding the end going to radio won't trigger it
I've done it.... listen to mr mysteryan and mr rominl, unless you have navigation, they're exactly on key point... if you DO have navi, you will have to buy the navi bypass switch, because if it's grounded, then the navigation point will be off while your in navigation mode
ohh, i believe cutting the speed wire doesn't have anything to do with the vaistech, BUT it has to do with the controls for your bluetooth, it's just something that's a extra goodie to have laying around for future use (it lets you enable all your functions that you're not usually allowed to have when you're in motion, bluetooth mainly)
