Anyone have any experiece with changing out the run flat tires on a GS350 AWD? What did you replace them with and were you satisfied?

i guess the first question would be do you plan on getting aftermarket wheels? check out the tire rack wheel and tire thread - i'm sure you will find what answers you need there.

For summer Goodyear F1... Handling difference is huge, but still a little noisy. I went for wider tires 245 vs 225.

I went with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S on 18" G-Spider rims for spring, summer and fall and Michelin Pilot Alpin PA3 on the stock 17" rims for winter. Major improvement over the runfarts on all aspects and all seasons.

Did you have your non runflats mounted at dealer? Does the sensors have to be registered when putting on new tires?

x2 for the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S, ride on my GS is smooth as silk and they grab the road well wet or dry.

I took my SC430 into the tire shop last weekend to dump the runflats.. less than a 1000 miles! it made that car ride like a hay wagon! ended up putting BFG G-Forces on it and its a WORLD of difference better.. will never buy run flats again...

yes and no

When I got the new set of 18" rims I had to get a new set of sensors. The dealer mounted the tires and sensors to the new rims.

When I changed out the runfarts for the set of dedicated snow tires on my stock set of 17" rims, I was able to keep the sensors that were already mounted on the rims. This was done by and independent tire shop. The only thing they did to the sensors was change out some gaskets and fittings ($10 for each sensor).

the sensors mount to the rims not the tires. so when you replace only the tires you still have your sensors.

Do you have 17 or 18 inch rims? Did you have to use any spacers? Any rubbing issues?
