weird, so a lot of people are saying this happens right after an oil change and thats what happened to me. but now after a couple days later it does not make the noise anymore. Should I still take it in?

Of course I started getting this problem after my powertrain warranty had lapsed. So does anyone know exactly what the problem is and what the corrective action is? I wonder how much it would cost to fix without warranty...

I wonder how much it would cost to get this fixed at a mechanic shop for those who are not under the power train warranty anymore

If you got your recall work done, you should have received an extended warranty for your powertrain (100,000 mi?).

This should be covered under that shouldnt it??

Hope you guys get this resolved. They redid my camshafts when they had the engine apart to do the recall. Havent heard the noise since that.

Somewhat maddening that this happened at all. Good luck guys.

Just got my car back from the dealer.. let me look into my invoice and see what work/part was changed/performed... FYI, I got the work done through the warranty so I won't know the cost.. Good luck!!

If you peeped through the invoice the one you signed but couldn't keep, you would see how much they billed Lexus.

I had them check the whole engine for something like that. I honestly only told them that i had that noise so they can check the engine for everything else. But after a cold start and engine inspections, not problems were found
