Sup guys...i found a super clean 2006 GS300 with 40K miles at a local dealership.

A buddy of mine said I shouldn't buy the 2006 model because there might be major problems since it's the "pilot year". I've searched the net and all i've read was power steering going out on the 06 models.

Are there many major problems with the 2006 model?

 

None of my clients have reported anything. I think you would be fine with an 06. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to purchase one.

going on 50K with mine and no problems other than the dreaded dash rattles that have been well documented on the forum. there are fixes for those, but depending on how picky you are can be annoying.

 

I love my 06 and I am at 40k now. I bought if from my aunt last May and haven't had a problem. She had it since new and has never had a problem. One TSB was done (windshield mounting clips removed to eliminate rattle) and one recall for a fuel rail issue and that was it.

I have also had my GS 300 since it came out and no problems yet. Love it.

 

Have had my '06 since Feb of '05 ! 45k and no problems. I'm finally getting the rattles fixed next week, but they were never really bad. Consideing an '09 when my lease is up

 

ssssharker - I haven't heard of any major problems. How much is the price? What color?
