it's probably just grouping the buildings address or something similar and taking you as close as it can without being too wrong.
You could drive right in front of the building, set that specific spot as a saved destination, then it will hopefully take you back to that spot at later dates.

I don't know of any navigation system, OEM or aftermarket, that can pinpoint the exact location of a house/building number. Typically the map data gets you to a block or segment of the road and then you have to find the number yourself.
When I am parked in my driveway, the navi reports my location as the number of the house that's two houses down from mine.
As Jace7 suggests, use the MARK button to save the location of your office, then you can navigate to that exact location in the future.

It is probably the DVD software, rather than the Nav Unit itself. I would expect future releases to be more accurate with existing addresses, and then give you another problem that will be such a big headache that you'll forget the reason why you wanted to upgrade.

It's the underlying map data. Address number locations are not exact, the data is for a range of address numbers.
