Default Side Mirror Assembly

Left Mirror Assembly

After a collision I had a small damage (crack) on the left side mirror housing. Lexus does not provide housing replacement – only the entire assembly. I was quoted $873.97 at Keyes Lexus. Based on the estimate I had to report the guy who hit me, as he declined to pay this kind of money (rightfully). Regardless of fault or insurance payment the cost of the mirror assembly is excessive. I am sure that it cost similar amount to replace a Mercedes or BMW mirror.
Enclosed is the picture of the damage. Now, you can judge yourself.

If you can please get me a part number from lexus. i have whole sale with local dealerships so most likely i could help you out. Your other alternative is call my service guy at longo lexus. He will for sure quote you cheeper. Here is his info: Niva Salazar direct line is 626-580-6241.
just tell him that you are a Club Lexus member and that Clark sent you to him.

Clark, Thanks. I will have to wait for the adjustor as I have reported the damage already to insurance company. I will report the insurance company findings as well. Again, thanks for your concern.

Wow! Thanks for the warning....that's a lot of $$$ for a mirror. I'm going to have to be extra careful backing out of my garage. I've gotten pretty close to whacking the mirror on the passenger side a couple times early in the morning when it's dark and I'm not fully awake.

You could go the Rice way and put a sticker over it (cost $1).

Dont worry...someone tried to steal my car a few weeks ago..i got it fixed and had the oil changed at the same time. Damage = $537.

I believe that price because the dealer replaced my lx470 miror and it was over 1000, it was covered under warranty. One of the reasons for the price is because the mirrors tilt and they darken for glare automatically. Good luck

What you really need is just the shell, which I'm sure would be a LOT less. The only problem is getting them to sell you the shell ONLY. As I understand it, the dealer's database only comes up with the whole assembly.

I'll bet there's a way to get it, but it's a matter of finding out the correct part number... maybe somebody who really knows the Toyota parts system can figure it out.
