Default URGENT Solenoid problems!!!

2010 3GS awd shifting problems. The auto place got code PO977, PO756 ,P2714.
it’s saying solenoid B and D . Shift solenoid B performance or stuck off.
solenoid D performance or stuck off . (SLT)
Anyone has ever dealt with this and what was the fix? Got 180k miles and want it to last as long as possible. Did tons of research and mostly said to replace the particular solenoids . Very few said transmission replaced. Please any recommendations or advice is truly appreciated
thanks.

Are you a DIY?

Has the transmission fluid been drained and refilled?

Check main wiring harness at the transmission for tightness (disconnect/reconnect) and see if any corrosion at the terminal.

If you plan to keep the car as long as possible then you need to do a few drains and refills this year, maybe a couple within your oil change interval.

This transmission drain and refill will have nothing to do with your transmission solonoid codes!

Which transmission do you have: AA80E, A760H or A760E?

Ask your mechanic: How is he going to test and replace the solonoid without dropping the transmission pan?
isn't that the same as draining and refilling the transmission fluid?

You have a couple of options:

- Drop the transmission pan and test each solonoid

- Check the solonoid resistance at the ECM TCM connectors under the hood, apply voltage at the TCM solonoid pins and have someone attach a stethoscope to the transmission pan and listen for solonoid activation. You can also activate the solonoid with the OBD scanner.

You also need an advance OBD scanner or Techstream (ADVi, 2.0 or Lite) and SST to test line pressure.

If you feel like you're up to it then I can give you the specs for the solonoids.

As of today, my mechanic says to changed out solenoids and filter. I’m going to leave all the checking for him since he can get to it. Worst case scenario is either rebuilt or find one. You ever heard of just changing out solenoids and it’ll be fine? Just need my car to run good for few years or until I get suv .

Current situation. My mechanic had his transmission guy take a look and said it was the solenoids and needs replacing.
I took car home and got a call from another reputable transmission place. Took it to him and he said it’s the solenoids and possible ecu/tcm.
while I was at work my brother picked up my car and took it to AAMCO (without me knowing)
guy there said he deals with lots of solenoid problems and most likely is the culprit. Says if I agree than he’ll take apart the pan and inspect the solenoids and test the ohms. Aamco guy says worst case is to rebuild or get used transmission.
All in all every place says to replace just solenoids and filter. Any more recommendations? Just want car to ride normal and last few more years .
