Default 9005 bulb problem/ Question

I just picked up A 2000 gs300 and for the time being i decided to put led bulbs in the hi and lo beam. Lo- Beams are working as should but when i added the hi beam leds they don't work if i plug both of them up. When i plug one led and one Halogen it works if that makes since. I don't think there is enough current draw.
Has any one had any problems when installing 9005 led high beams because i do not like the yellowish looking light compared to a pure white led.

Probably a reverse polarity issue. Flip the plug around.

Google "LED/HID troubleshooting" You'll see the same answer.

Are you trying to use LED headlights bulbs or those LED with small multiple led? If you're trying to get the DTRL (day time running lights) to work with the small multiple LED light you have to plug a load resistor on one side and run a harness from the other side that splits into two to make them work. As for the super bright led headlight that replaces headlight bulb, that I don't know if you can use them as dtrl. If you can, it'll be too bright.

The new Morimoto 2stroke 2.0s are supposedly DRL compatible

Then you're gonna have to explain better.

Did you swap the LED's from one side to the other. Could be a DOA bulb.

i know the bulbs are 100% good. I bench tested them also and checked them in my fogs and they work. When i plug both 9005 led bulbs in neither one works but when i unplug 1 from either side the opposite side works. Now when i plug the stock bulbs in they both work as normal. I just think its something to do with the current draw of the bulbs or something of that nature. I just don't like the yellowish looking DTRL.

The DTRL isn't the 9005 bulb, the 9005 is high beam.

Incorrect your dtrl are your high beam lights just running at half power. If you dont believe me put your lights on the auto settings and see for yourself

Hey question @Tuanville is this the only way or will the can bus decoder boxes on each side work? I purchased the T1 series led from Auxbeam which comes with a box for each side however the boxes were defective I even tried them on a 2012 Odyssey. I reached out to the company through email and phone no response yet. I did see online about the method you mentioned, is there anything to worry about other than the resistors getting hot? Will all the functions remain? DRL during the day and High Beams in normal mode? Thanks

I've so entered get-off-my-lawn territory...

Why?

You can't see your high beams lenses, when you're driving. and I don't care what other people think of my lens color. It lights up the road, or it doesn't.

And LED's are very difficult to align, so they don't blind everyone.
