Anyone know how to take apart the ashtray? I took the ashtray out from the center console but need to take everything apart to get to the cigarette lighter.
Any pics will help, thanks.

I believe the outer housing (white arrow) actually screws on to the inner housing (scribbled in red) and sandwiches with the outer lip of the lighter up front.

nope, just open the tray, get a firm grip on the lid with thumbs and fingers and give a snug pull. There are 4 clips on each corner that snap right in. Very simple

My bad MrJokester, I typed that up in a hurry, I meant, how do I remove the cigg lighter part? I got the astray out, very simply, done removed the small 4 screws, and took off whatever lil tabs I could put can't take out the cigg lighter part? I'm switching just that part from one that I bought from a junkyard, I would just install the whole unit that I bought, but mine is much cleaner,
Basicly I'm assuming my cigg plug in is Done with! This junkyard replacement one works! So it's not the fuse or anything
