I bought this piece from one of the guys here and he claims it came off a 01 2GS and now look at my Dilemma. Now the question remains, does anyone know if the 98 2gs have a different length than the 01 style or is it because its a Canadian car that have a smaller one. Look at pics

 

I don't think there is a difference because everything else is the same. He probably sold you the chrome piece that fits a camry. It looks the same. Just my thought though.

 

If you bought off someone here and it doesn't fit your car, Send him a pm and take care of it that way. With him being a member on here he should send your money back to you and resell it to some one on here. Good luck with this

 

Yeah, that's probably off a camry. Mine has lines or grooves on the bottom where the license plate lights are. Its not smooth like your picture.

If there is someone here that owns a 98 99 00 01 02 03 please measure they piece or take a pic of it and post it here. This guy that sold this piece to me is 100% that it came off a gs01. Will post the measuremnts for it on here and so he would not give my money back.... I wanna prove him wrong before i give him bad feedback on here...

That looks very much like a gs chrome trunk bar

 

That's not a chrome trunk bar for the GS. Tommy's right, there are grooves under it where the lights are.

Well guess what guys, i contacted the seller and he says to me that i swapped the real piece for the pic posted up there and im trying to rip him off. So needless to say that i have been legally robbed of my own money. I have no clue. This guy is also reputable on here. Imagine how many will get this kinda deal. So there goes my mulla down the stream. Any ideas will help and be careful out there....

 

how did you pay him? if through creditcard on paypal, then u can get your money back.
