Chrome trunk piece error!!!
I think you're getting it mixed up a lil bit. I've seen Nate's car in person numerous times and would have given him pure hell if the bar fit on his car the way you described it. You can go check his photo album on here for verification of fitment. Maybe that was a bad pic so here's another (dated 2006). I'm only stating that I know Nate and he's a stand up guy so if he said that this is the bar that came off his car, I'm vouching for him (and the fitment) that it is. I don't know what happened between the sale of him to J and from J to you. Good luck, I hope you guys can work it out

drew,
i'm in no ways taking any sides, but just want to help clarify the situation for everyone if i can. i do notice at the angle you took the picture that the chrome bar extends out further than the plate housing area at the location it is placed at to take the picture. however, if you notice in this picture, the housing area is slanted inward down, so maybe that's why it looks bigger than it really is.
have you taken measurements exactly with a measuring tape to see if it is really longer? again, i'm not taking sides here, but i just want to make sure there's no mixup or misunderstanding between parties here.
good luck
if and i did remove the original off my car.. The chrome one he sold me, the only two very inner bolts would fit perfect and now im left with 4 holes that are not covered. Not only they are not covered by the bolts inserted into the holes cause tey dont line up but also the bar extends past the license plate housing and now there is a gap where the holes are so when it rains my car gets mold and rust starts its course. Is it too hard to tell a seller, look here is your wrong piece get me the one that works or give me my money back\there are no grooves under that bar and the pic where the seller dispalyed has no grooves. I had never seen those pics until today. otherwise i would not have bought it. simple low skill economics.
I merely flipped it for sale. I checked out the TB when i got it and it was the correct one. I was thinking to either buy or sell but since im parting out the car why add a trunk bar. I think anyone would jump on a grill and tb for 100 shipped. I sold the grill locally for $120 alone.
So this bring it back to ME being screwed over here.

You claim something i sent was messedup AFTER you gave it to the painter and he said it was not perfect. You agreed with me that the item looked fine to the naked eye. It took a professional to actually prep, paint and work with the item to see it was not 100% perfect. If your eye and my eye and the painters eye did not see the imperfection only until DURING prep work then how you gona blame me?
NO WAY you can put that on me you bought a used fender along with everything I said above.
You already know. If anyone needs PMs on this one too feel free to ask.
You told me you didn't see it to the naked eye and neither could I, yes I agree with you there. The guy I brought it too is indeed a professional. Dynamic auto works where a lot of NELOC members go to get work done. He couldn't have bent the fender in the way it was. It was bent at the mounting points where you bolt it down under the hood, almost in a 45 degree angle. And if he did he would of told me or fixed it, b/c of the kind of guy he is. So YOU sent me a fender that wasn't in the condition you told me it was. Then you tell me that it was probably from the person you bought it from. Just because someone sold you a messed up fender doesn't mean you should go around and sell it to someone else. Even though you may have not known it was bent, you were the seller and should take responsibility as you were the one who sold it claiming the condition you stated. I never asked for a refund as it was already painted. I had to pay extra to get it to fit right and it would have been nice if you met me half way to get it to fit properly.
LOL WUT? HOW WOULD I KNOW!? I did NOT sell the fender because it was messedup i sold it because i need $ to pay the bills. I cannot afford to repaint and install on my car. It would be a waste of time for me to have taken it somewhere when they can easily fix whatever is wrong but me not doing it. If i have the $ to paint and install then i would obviously have the money to fix any imperfections. I did not try to mount that thing at all.
Your first sentence said it all. Dont pin it on me if we both did not know anything + the painter until work was done. You purchased a used part you know this. If it was a new part then yea you have a very valid reason.
How the heck am i supposed to know what the angle of the bolts are supposed to be when its all behind teh fender? Im supposed to be a fender expert now? wtf
