Default Door Sensor Help!

Hi Guys, having a problem with the door open sensors on my 98' mark 2 gs300.

Ever since I brought the car the door sensors on the passenger front and rear doors have never worked, and the drivers door sensor has worked very intermittently, this results in the interior lights barely ever activating and the car often auto locking itself as it thinks all doors are closed. Today I decided to remove the fuses under the dash for the front passenger and drivers side doors, and the sensors in these two doors worked perfectly after extensive testing with the fuses removed, however removing the fuses for the rear doors did not make any difference and the sensors did not work after I reinserted the fuses. Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing this problem and how to resolve it? Many Thanks.

not too sure if this helps but i would try to replace the door sensors. i believe they are called MPX door sensors. my problem was the car always had a red open door sign on the dashboard even though all doors were closed. if thats what u need there are people on here parting out cars and even on ebay.

what about this... My dash doesnt say door is open, but when the door is opened the car doesnt register it as open, it thinks its closed all the time? Anyone think its still a sensor deal?

Cheers for your input guys, I cant see where the sensor is as its not an exposed switch like other cars, do you have any more info on this 'mpx sensor'? really an annoying problem having to manually turn the dome on when someone enters or exits the car!

Read through the following. I cover it for the back doors.. the fronts are similar.

It is pretty good reading. Read it all....
