Default weapon r intake help

HI A FEW QUESTIONS
1. ANYONE KNOW THE HP GAINS ON THE DRAGON INTAKE AND THE RAM AIR KIT?
2. ON ANY INTAKE I DECIDE ON IF I RESET THE ECU BY DISCONECTING THE BATTERY WONT THAT RESET THE AIR/FUEL? OR DO I NEED THE ECU LIKE THE SRT?
3. WHAT DOES ERYONE RECOMMEND ?
TO ME THE WEAPON R WITH RAM AIR SEEMS LIKE IT WOULD PUT OUT THE MOST HP.

yea its great it makes power, when you install it you need to have the negative off of the battery which would reset the ECU anyways

when you reset you DO get more fuel, but still not quite enough SRT, Apex'i, And The Weapon*R ECU all offer more aggressive fuel curves

Weapon R does not have heat shield if you buy their intake. However, if you buy cold air ram (a pipe where cold air comes in from the outside of the car) together, heat shield is not that important. Or you can ask them and see if they are willing to sell you the air box.

The best place to buy SRT product is thru Mo @ SRT. www.suprastore.com also sells SRT HFI/ECU but it's more expansive.

Weapon R has the dyno on their web for IS300. You can use that as a reference.

Hey people.

Where can I get a Weapon-R intake with the pipe only, no filter? I have a Blitz filter with RMM intake, but the RMM pipe/adaptor sucks. So I want just the Weapon R pipe. Can I just get that and how much is it?

APEXi S-AFC can only change fuel ratio if I remember correctly while Weapon R claims that their ECU can alter air/fuel ratio and the ignition timing for each RPM. Sound very good to me except the price.

well do you think i would gain alot with the intake and ram air only, NO ECU? i think thats what i might do. does it come with the brackets to hold it up?

An intake will only give you couple horsepower (less than 10) and the cold air ram will also give you a little additional power (less than 10). Those will help to cut maybe 0.1 second but no more 0.2 second for GS as it's already a fast car. Without reprogramming the ECU, GS won't run at its optimal and that's why SRT, Weapon R, Biltz, APEXi and other tuners offer ECU.

I don't remember Weapon R having a bracket to hold up. (I may be wrong at this) I will let Sasha and Wei to answer that question.

yea weapon*r has a braket you can use to hold the intake up, its metal you have to bend

the intake itself is DEFINATLY A NOTICABLE IMPOROVEMENT esspecailly when you reset the ECU with the car, but with the S-AFC or Weapon*R fuel computer you will be able to gain more from it than with stock.

the best thign to do would be buy an intake, exhaust and pullies and then get S-AFC or Weapon*R, that is what will give you THE MOST power because thats when you are really freeing the air and making more power so tuning would be usefull
