Default quick programming question..

well my dad has the ls430 and my moms got a c320 mb... i noticed everytime i put the car in reverse, the side mirrors face down to show the curb and whatnot.. well if our side mirrors are powered, isnt there a program or anything that will allow us gs owners to be able to have that option since our cars do have computers in them? i think it would be a very useful thing but im lazy also for not checking the search option so my bad..

yup that's correct, it's not a feature on the gs. sad, coz' i had that on my old tl-s, and i think it's pretty neat

if you want, you can always program the second memory seat option to tilt down the mirror and when you back up the car, just hit that button

that is a good idea.. but i was hoping someone would find a way that when the stick is put into reverse, then it would trigger such a movement... oh well, figured i might ask..

That's a good idea. Never thought of that.

I never thought of the programming the 2nd memory for just the mirror either. But the only problem is the car have to be in park and feet off the brake.

In my 2K when i hit the button with my foot on the brake it only prevents
the seats from changing position. the mirrors still move.

I hate that option. I have it on my E39 beemer and it always created a lot more trouble than help. Go to roadfly.org. A lot of bimmer owners also turn theirs off because they couldn't see crap out of the mirror when it was tilting down.

I tried doing that. But it's a PITA. I had to put the car in PARK and take my foot off the brakes before pushing the 2nd memory button.

So it doesn't help me when I'm parking. When I park, I usually slip from D to R. It would be a pain to go from D to P, then take foot off the brakes to push 2nd memory button, then put foot on the brakes, shift to R and then park.

By the time I do all that, I could be 1/2 way into the spot already.

How about just raising your body and leaning to the right? I do that and can see the top of the sidewalk in my mirror.
