Default Question on purchasing.

Well my cousin is in the market for a CPO 01+ GS430 and a few days ago he found one at a dealer 2001 GS430 loaded except nav with 3k miles for only 35k. I found it odd how cheap it was. Then later found out that its a Lexus Factory demo car? Carfax was clean no accidents and also a 3year/100k warranty. Is there something different about demo car than a regular one? I dont quite understand. Any input on this is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Well if its CPO...you get pretty good insurance with it...so i think it is a pretty good deal.

Did I read that right-3000 miles? What dealer has a demo/loaner GS430. Is demo and loaner same thing?
I know that if that car was a loaner it has seen some abuse and probably the rev limiter once or twice. Maybe it was a manager's car?Usually loaners look pretty rough. I just had an 04 es330 loaner with 9000 miles and it looked rode hard.

But with that low miles and for that price CPO sounds pretty good. BTW-what color in & out?

chuck I agree when I first heard that it only had 3,000 miles I was in disbelief. Cousin told me it looks just like brand new, no swirls , no creaks on seats etc. Its from a Lexus dealership too. Also black on black.

The price sounds too good to be true.

I would get another report besides CARFAX.

Good luck.

i have a guess as to why it's soooo cheap......
if it's a factory demo car, then doesn't that mean it was loaned out to a bunch of car magazines and other reviewers....????

basically, those guys drive the living daylights out of cars and push them hard all the time. if i had to guess, those 3k miles were some very tough miles.

btw, that's an insanely good price

Dude its CPO your covered go for it.

I have never seen a dealer that gave GS's out as loaners, my dealers always gave ES's or RX's

Either way IT is CPO and you have a warranty, I say go for it.
