Default GS430 Input needed

Hey there - I've been scoping out GS430's online now for the past 3 or 4 weeks with the intent to buy one. Looking for a good 2004/2005 preferably with CPO. Well, I ran into one on the internet thats a few hours from me. 2005 model with 30k miles, Nav, ML, and still has about 11 months of factory warranty left. The price on it is $30K and its being sold at some little no name lot. I ran an auto check on the VIN and nothing strange popped up. Just seems like too good of a price. Thoughts? I've never thought about buying from a small lot before - any experiences? Should I stay with purchasing a used from Lexus? Thanks in advance...

I would prefer to buy a car from a same brand dealer. When I bought my first Lexus it was from an Acura dealer and when I brought the car home I found a few things I had to fix, it was also the fact that it was the first car I was buying so I didn't really know what to look for. Just make sure you look over the car thoroughly. As far as the price, since the 2GS has been replaced that will make it come down, plus the car is aging.

Task,
I just bought my first lexus a 2006 GS430 (fullyloaded). Only item it didn't have was the rain sensing wipers (doesn't rain much in AZ, anyway). The car had 33,500 miles on it and was well kept, I purchased it from a private party for $37,600. I would suggest looking at private party sales, if you do your homework (carfax, original owner, KBB Value etc...) you can find a good deal. You won't have to deal with a salesperson and pay the taxes plus some ridiculous fees.
It worked for me.

2006 GS430
18" Chrome wheels
ML, NAV, Parking assist etc....
Silver with black interior (what a beauty)
Will post pic soon

$30k sounds kinda high to me, even though for an 05 with 30k miles. i suggest keep looking around, TAKE YOUR TIME, and buy from a party you/yourself will feel most comfortable dealing with. that's most important, since it'll only be yourself who makes the decision.

who knows, you might be able to find a similar car at a lexus dealer and get it cpo'd (longer mfr warranty )

if you can get a car with at least a year of factory bumper to bumper (4yr/50k) warranty left you're good, no matter who you buy it from. just find one in good condition.

Thanks everyone - yeah, I'm mostly concerned about getting a used GS thats been in an accident. So, will probably take it by Lexus to have it checked out first (unless I buy one from a Lexus dealer). Seems like prices are all over the place on these cars.
