Default De-emblemizing and the holes

My car is going in for some light body touch-up's next week and I was thinking at the same time I'd have the emblems taken off. For those of you that have done this, can they spot paint the area of the filled holes and match the paint or do you have the whole trunk sprayed?

Take them off the emblems with a little dental floss and a hair dryer

Thanks.
Man...you guys are fortunate...the second gen LS has those registration holes all over the place. 3 holes for the "Lexus", 2 holes for the "L", 2 holes each for the "LS" and "400".

Every Toyota I have had has them...

Not many LS's debadge so that was why I asked here...but <dooh> you guys don't have that issue.

You can also use fishing line...It is more durable than dental floss and make sure you get at least the 80 pound line..

Yes, it does. For those who will go to the extent when rubbing the paint to remove the badges, the registration holes make re-installing a breeze. This may not be a big deal with a dual stage paint that is clear coated. On single stage dark colors, badges make waxing a PITA. You get that rainbow haze in those areas.
