Default cleaning out emblems

Hey, I ran some searches on how to remove the emblems on the back, but I'm not sure how to remove the rivets that hold the emblems in place.. anyone got any good methods to do this? Thanks.

I took a screw and screwed some of it in there until a little tight and pull out. it worked great. Are you planning on debadging or ReBadging.

debadging, will it leave marks there when it is removed?

yea it'll leave marks... when i had my L emblem on the trunk stolen there were three holes left there.... the black rubber pieces were easy enough to pull off then i just rubbing compound to get the glue off. well now that i have a kit, i had the bodyshop debadge, fill in the holes and paint.... they painted the whole trunk to make sure it matched in color.

LexAnt , how much did the bodyshop charge you? I'm guessing touch up paint would not be good enough to cover the holes..

i can't reallie say since they did everything all at once with the kit, but i'm thinking they can do like a couple coats then a clearcoat for like around 200 for the whole trunk. nope touch up paint won't be enough to fill in the holes. they're too big to fill in with paint. imo, should get it done right and have the holes filled in then maybe touch up paint if you don't wanna pay for the whole trunk tho this guarantees matching around.

PS. I'm only comparing this to a quote i got from them on repainting my friend's cl type s front bumper and they quoted 300.

Dude,

Bondo will cover the holes. Mix it, rub it on, sand it down and then bring it to the shop for the repaint.

Peace,
Jonny
