Default Oil Changes

Hi
I have driven my car 3000 miles already, and I did not get a notification for oil change/maintenance. Does the 2019 ES350 Base model display a symbol when oil change is needed and tire rotation, servicing, etc?
Or do I need to manually keep track.

thanks

You will get it at 5000 miles.

Lexus recommends 10k, so I think the oil reminder is at 10k, when I reset it at 5k it went back to 10k. I will be doing oil changes every 5k miles or so though.

Same here. Tried every which way to get it to remind me at 5,000 mile intervals. Just couldn't get it done. Frustrating.
I suppose is intent on showing its maintenance cost (oil change) are competitive. They should enable it to be set to owner's preferences. Sort of a fiction, as even my Lexus dealership, manned by Lexus schooled techs, recommend 5,000 mile interval.

If your ES is equipped with the navigation option, there is maintenance reminder screen where you can set your own interval (either by date or by mileage distance [that counts down to show remaining miles to go). There are 12 pre-named (e.g., engine oil, oil filter, etc.) reminders and three "personal" ones. For details see the "Maintenance" section in the 2022 LEXUS ES250,ES300H,ES350 NAVIGATION AND MULTIMEDIA SYSTEM OWNER'S MANUAL (starting on page 69 [pdf version] the page number will vary by model year version).

The Multi Information Display (MID) has two maintenance related reminders built-in with fixed mileage intervals of 5000 and 10000 miles counting down from the last reset of each. The 5000 mile one is the scheduled maintenance reminder (for inspections and tire rotation) and the 10000 mile one is the oil change reminder. While it isn't ideal but for a 5000 mile oil change interval you can use the the 5000 mile schedule service reminder to also serve as an oil change reminder also - you just need to remember to reset both when you do an oil change in conjunction with the "normal" 5000 mile servicing. Granted the odometer "Distance until next engine oil change" display will still be operating on the fixed 10000 mileage interval which will necessitate subtracting 5000 from that value to determine the distance remaining before your desired 5000 mile oil change interval.

The 0w-16 oil is so good now. When I did a change at 5k miles the oil looks almost like new. I can see 5k change interval if you drive in harsh conditions like mostly city drivings, dusty roads or regularly drive like you stole it.

Dealers recommend oil changes at 5k for $$$. My wife's Honda dealer recommends changes at 3k... The maker of our car says 10k or one year. As Ionian states, shorter OCI are for harsh conditions. Changing oil at 5k is a waste of time, money, and oil... I only drive my 1998 Corvette about 5-600 miles a year during the summer. The pure synthetic oil gets changed every two years...

If asked who to believe, between the dealers and the manufacturers who engineered the engines, I'd say it's an easy choice - the manufacturer wins every time.

Thanks much for thorough, well written explanation.
Base model. No Nav. Use Car Play with Waze.
I’ll check out the 5,000 mi. reminder. Unfortunate that I can’t get it to appear daily rather than the 10,000 mile maintenance countdown number.
Thanks again.

The oil is clean because the engine burns clean.

I am running TGMO 0W16 5000 miles OCI.
