Forgive me if this has been asked and answered. My search revealed nothing. My Apple CarPlay volume when reading text messages has only one volume - not loud enough. Using the steering wheel volume control or the audio panel **** does absolutely nothing to change the volume. Doesn’t increase it, nor does it decrease it. Seems to be a Siri function. I’m unable to change the volume when Siri tells me a joke. Anyone know of a fix?

Have you increased the volume on your iphone, siri specifically in the settings? I'm not familiar with Apple devices, I just remember there being media volume and speaker volume (though I may be wrong about that too).
