I am all of the sudden having a problem with the volume control **** on the head unit in my 07 rx350. Suddenly it will not change the volume. The volume control on the steering wheel works but the head unit stopped working for volume even though it still powers it on and off. What could be the issue or issues here?

Pull it off. Inspect. Is the rod **** is sitting on adjusting volume? If not, potentiometer it is connected to, aka volume control, went bad.

I have had this happen. for me the faceplate(?) on the radio is loose. If I press the faceplate onto the radio the volume **** starts working again.

same issues here headunit works fine
just volume **** wont switch off the radio and the fm/am disc switchs
