While on the way home this evening I noticed that my steering wheel and dash volume controls failed to change the radio volume. Once I turned the car off at the store and restarted it, everything worked again. I see this has cropped up in the forum a number of times before, usually solved by my technique or disconnecting the battery. I'm hoping this isn't a precursor of more trouble to come.

 

I occasionally have a problem which seems to be associated with the VisaTech unit. The other day, the "I Agree" was not turned off and would not respond to a manual touch. I have had occassional problems with the display of the album, artist, and song display when playing in iPod. Shutting the engine off and restarting always seems to resolve the problem. Same held true here.

Doesn't happen enough for me to be concerned.

 

I never even tried the steering wheel volume control before I installed my Vaistech Ipod & Sirius interfaces, but I noticed the other day it will not change the volume.

I can set a preset volume and go back to it by pressing either steering wheel volume control (up or down buttons), but they do not increment or decrement the volume.

I'm not sure if this is a Vaistech result, but I suspect it is. It's certainly not a concern to me...I like the rotary dial voume control much better. As I said, I hadn't even used the steering wheel controls until I was poking around the other day.

 

note to the brave never take apart that radio, (i was trying to change i bulb took it all apart found it was soldered in bulbs) if that pinn harness it slightly disconnected either by impacts or man it will act up it took me quite some time to get it back right
