2022 es350 ultra luxury. Info screen can be on audio and climate and suddenly change from climate to freeway exit without touching anything. Why?

 

I'm pretty sure that automatically changes once you enter the highway or anything that's not local.

 

This JUST started happening to me. I think I changed a setting recently and now it will automatically change screens from radio to map after what seems like 10 seconds. Even if I switch back to radio it will automatically switch to map

 

On 2019 - 2022 model year's with 12.3 inch displays (i.e., those equipped with navigation), the setting that controls automatic return to the map screen is found with this [touchpad/touchscreen] menu chain: Setup [the gear icon]-> General-> "Auto Change to Screen". (That control setting is found in the Navigation and Multimedia System Owner's Manual in the "2-3 Other settings" subchapter, "General settings" section with the page number varying by model year version.) Per the manual, the auto change time (if set) is 20 seconds.

 

There's an “Automatic Freeway Exit List” setting that controls whether or not the freeway exit list automatically gets displayed or not when approaching freeway exits. (See page 105 of the 2022 LEXUS ES250,ES300H,ES350 NAVIGATION AND MULTIMEDIA SYSTEM OWNER'S MANUAL (pdf version) for details.)

 

FYI I also have the 12.3 screen with Navigation, but after a few days using the built in nav I switched to CarPlay using the navigation in there and never switched back. Wireless screen mirroring is more handy than I thought it would be.

 

Auto Change To Screen is off and it still changes automatically.
