Default Change default screen display?

My 2012 RX 350 is set so the default display on the screen is the map. I'd like to change it so the default display is the Audio. How do I do this?

I think it will always default to map upon startup, but you can set it that it won't reset to map while you are driving. So once you start the car, push Audio and it won't change back until you manually change it. It's one of the screen settings.

You can change the settings so the screen will stay on the screen you select. So if you are on the audio screen it will stay on the audio screen. You will need to check your manual because I can not remember the specific setting, but that is how I have my car configured. Since I rarely use my NAV, the system stays on the audio screen (even after the vehicle is turned off and back on).

I did that but when I turn the car on it still starts at the map screen. I don't want to see the map screen at all when I start up and going unless I push the map button. Can that be done?

Just some off the top of my head questions:

Did you save the change?
What were you viewing when you turned the car off before starting up this time?
Do you have a destination set?

Not sure this answers your question...

There may be minor changes between the 2010 and 2012 models but if you get out your "NAV" manual, it will guide you through the settings so the screen will always start on the same one you shut it down on. That's how mine is set. Like Anita said, you have to 'save' the settings when you change them.

Default Screen default

I have a 2013 RX 350 and the screen always reverts back to map. I want to set it up so that audio is the main screen and map will only show when i need the NAV. i've seen some posts related to pre 2013 RX. Does anyone know how to do this in a 2013? I've looked everywhere in the manuals but I cannot find it.

Forgive me for this silly question, to which the answer is probably obvious but totally eludes me and I can't find the solution in the manual.

When I'm on the map mode, and using the Pandora app, I have a hard time displaying the audio display without toggling to a different audio source. If I push Media or Radio they change the source. The only way I have been able to do this is to go to the Menu, then go through the multiple selections to get to the display.

What am I missing?

mousie has an RX 350, some of the posters that claim that the display can default to audio have an RX 450h. The software is not the same for both models. I have an RX 350 with navi and there is no setting to default the startup display to audio or any other menu choice besides the map.

Is this true? I have not been able to get the display to default to audio on my 2012 RX350.

Our 2010 RX 350 has been set to stay on the display it was last set to (not exactly the same thing as starting on a specific display). Anyway it was a simple configuration change, and now stays on audio all the time.
The car is not at home right now or I would post the exact steps.

After reading this thread more carefully, I figured it out. It's all about SAVING your changes in the menu. Thanks all!
