If you want to keep the famous Lexus ride go OEM. Aftermarket shocks are cheaper but none of them deliver the firm cushy feeling the OEM does.

KYB is the better brand of the two.

Must be shopping at advance auto parts. None of the shocks at advance are any good, even the kyb's are the cheapos not the good ones kyb is known for.

Firm & cushy shocks? I don't think they make those. I consider the Lexus ride cushy but by no means firm.

I've gone kyb gr2's for both my ES300's with no problems. I got them pretty cheap off of amazon. I think it was 250 or so for all 4 shocks. good luck.

Well, that depends on your conception of "firmness". The standard tire pressure for my car is 32 PSI and I feel it firm and cushy, a great ride. Firm like a race car? Of course not.
