Question Loud pooping noises

Greetings! I have a beloved 2001 ES 300. Once while driving, I heard a loud popping noise like a small stone hitting the windshield. When I got home, I examined the windshield and found a small chip. Over the next few months while driving, I heard the noise again several times but found no new chips on the windshield. Then one day while *sitting still* in line in the bank drive through, I heard the exact same sound again! Has anyone else experienced a sound like this?

Thanks!

You might be having some slight backfire. When i run 110 race gas (great for cleaning your fuel system out) i get those popping sounds occasionally.

Question Loud pooping noises ?!!!

LOL I hope you mean popping noises. Pooping noises would be quite offensive.

Eric, you can get 110, 111, and 108 octane at a few gas stations in my area. Usually it's available at 76/Gulf stations, Some Citgo's, and some marathon stations. Just call around and ask for "turbo Blue."

As far as a performance goes, the only difference race gas makes in a stock n/a engine is a smoother ride. It also cleans out your fuel system, which i will try to do once a year.
