lowering/suspension question
along with lowering springs and (kyb gr2) shocks, do i also have to purchase strut mounts?

You don't "have" to, but I HIGHLY recommend it. As well as front mount bearings. KYB is a good brand.

its better to get them..
mine make noises when going over bumps. (never bought new mounts)

^ Squeeking tends to be the Sway Bar bushings more often. So if you have that on yours, check that out too.

I think I hear my strut mounts over bumps when its cold out. Weird
But yeah I recommended to change them too.

I did mine when I put my gr2's on. I went with kyb mounts but there is talk here that the toyota ones are better but idk mine are fine.

Somebody on this forum claimed removing the top strut nut and forcing grease and penetrating oil in cured his rattle. I'm sure it would temporarily, if say the bearing is shot. Guess it's worth a try if you did the struts without replacing mounts.
