Default Strut Mounts Cushion

Guys,
I have my lowering springs, struts, and strut mounts ready for install. Will I need to purchase a set of front and rear cushions for the strut mounts. If so, where can I buy them?

Appreciate the help!

afaik you cannot buy just the cushions for the shock mounts as they aren't replaceable. The shock mounts (if bad/worn) are meant to be replaced as a whole unit. KYB makes cheap replacements.

provided you are talking about the shock mounts and not the strut RODS, aka the caster arms.

shock mount = strut mount, in this case as the LS400 uses shocks and not struts they are called upper shock mounts.

There's no separate bushing inside the mount like there are on many bmws. you ought the right part and don't need anything else for them.

I'm glad to hear I didn't waste my time buying this part.

Is there a difference between shock mount and strut mount?

shock mounts are used in cars that use shocks (double wishbone/multilink cars, shocks don't act as suspension linkages.) and strut mounts are used in cars that use struts (mcpherson strut cars, etc... where the damper body plays the role of a suspension link (usually the upper link).

they are analagous, but very different. Google will help you further.
